SimpledCard is looking for a Infrastructure engineer

SimpledCard is a successful B2B fintech scaleup with over 750 medium to large customers and offices being home to our 50+ team members in Amsterdam, Munich, Budapest, and Belgrade.
Your profile
Your responsibilities would include:
• Work together with other team members actively on the defined focus topics such as migration to the cloud, system monitoring solutions, backup and disaster recovery strategies;
• Work in the infrastructure team together with our senior engineers and with the developers;
• System troubleshooting and problem resolution in timely manner;
• Utilization of the best practices and solutions in cloud security to ensure critical system security;
• Monitoring of the existing production infrastructure to avoid downtimes and issues.
Challenges we are facing:
• The migration of the current virtual machines to an AWS cloud native solution;
• Assessment of the improvements that could be made to improve the security of the system;
• Support the growing usage of Simpledcard systems;
• Wider the coverage of continuous delivery in combination with a microservice architecture;
• Deploying apps, managing systems, and reducing complexity through automation using Ansible;
• Monitoring tools and support.
Requirements
What we are looking for:
• At least 4+ years of experience being responsible for running a highly available SaaS service!
Must haves:
• Amazon Linux or Ubuntu is a plus;
• Automation experience, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK is a plus;
• Database server operation experience, postgreSQL is the tool of our choice;
• Experience with at least one of the major cloud provider;
• general programming scripting knowledge;
• Some experience with Webserver and load balancer administration / apache, nginx, HAProxy;
• Demonstrate good judgment and problem solving skills;
• Automation-focused thinking;
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
What would make you stand out:
• Networking knowledge and firewall management (IP subnet, VPN, IPSec / OpenVPN, pfSense in particular;
• General security and system / network hardening techniques;
• Experience with CI/CD systems, CircleCi is a plus;
• Experience with container technologies, Docker is a plus;
• Have a solid background with designing, scaling and maintaining observability platforms.
